For organisations

Train your team, without the admin

Buy the seats, name the people, and they're enrolled straight away, evenings and weekends included. Watch their progress on your own dashboard, live, without asking anyone for a report. The standard price when you'd rather just get on, and volume pricing when you need to talk.

Who this is for

For anyone training more than one person

Councils, emergency services, utilities, surveyors, estates, production companies, universities, charities: if you're putting more than one person through drone training, and you need to know where they've all got to, this page is for you.

Between us, our team has trained thousands of organisations since 2014, and the same three things got in the way every time. Booking and paying was slow. The people being trained had to be added by hand. And nobody could tell the person paying how it was going without being asked. So when we built our own training platform, we built all three out.

What's different

Three things we fixed

Booking and paying
The old way: get in touch, wait for an invoice, wait again while people are loaded on by hand. Now you buy the seats online and it's done. Invoicing and volume pricing are still there for larger groups; just ask.
Who gets a seat, and when
Buy a set number of seats on a course and hand them out as it suits you. Two people this month, three next quarter, a new starter in between. Same seats, your call, no new order.
Knowing how it's going
Your own dashboard shows every learner's progress in real time. No emailing the training company for a report and waiting for someone to put it together. It's there when you need it, wherever you are.

How it works

Buy the seats, name the people

  1. 01 Choose the course. The A2 CofC now, the GVC as soon as the online course opens. The standard price, as many seats as you need.
  2. 02 Check out as normal. Card payment, receipt straight away, any hour of any day.
  3. 03 Name your people. First name, surname and email address for each seat, whenever you're ready. Each of them is enrolled immediately, evenings and weekends included, and gets their login by email.
  4. 04 Watch it happen. Who's started, who's stalled, who's passed, live on your dashboard.
Hand out your places in a few minutes: add each learner's name and email and see how many places are still to fill.

Oversight

See progress live, not on request

The person paying for training is usually the last to hear how it's going. Traditionally that meant ringing the training provider, waiting while someone compiled a report, and getting a snapshot that was already out of date.

Oversight managers get their own view of every learner on your account: who's started, how far they've got, who's passed and when. It's live, it's yours, and it's there whenever and wherever you need it, rather than when a training company gets round to sending it.

See how your whole team is getting on: every learner's progress in the Blue Skies Student Hub.

Pricing

Standard price now, volume pricing on request

One person or ten, the price is the one on the course page, and you can buy today: the A2 CofC now, and the GVC as soon as the online course opens.

Putting a larger number of people through? We're open to a conversation about volume pricing, invoicing and timing that fits your rota. Tell us the requirement and we'll answer in writing.

Charities

A word for charities

We're building a complimentary training programme for registered charities and constituted voluntary organisations. It's still being shaped, so we're not stating terms or promising places yet. If that's you, say so on the form below and we'll tell you the moment it's ready.

Who's behind it

Trained at scale since 2014

Matt Williams founded one of the UK's first National Qualified Entities in 2014, and in 2020 the UK's first Recognised Assessment Entity, the CAA's current standard for drone training. He wrote the first A2 CofC and GVC courses ever approved by the UK CAA, and built and exited what became the world's largest drone training organisation. Between them, the team has trained more than 66,500 pilots, a great many of them on behalf of their employers, and the platform your people will use was built from that experience.

Questions

Questions

Can I buy the seats now and add people later?

Yes. Buy however many seats you need, then name people against them whenever you're ready. Nothing starts until you do.

Do my people have to start at the same time?

No. Each person starts when you allocate their seat and they log in. Stagger them however your rota needs.

What does the dashboard show?

Every learner on your account: whether they've started, how far through they are, and whether they've passed. It's live, so it's current whenever you look.

Can we pay by invoice?

Yes, for larger groups. Card payment online is the quick route and gets people enrolled immediately. If you need an invoice or a purchase order, tell us on the form and we'll sort it.

Is there volume pricing?

For larger numbers, yes. We'd rather talk than publish a table, because it depends on how many people and over what period. Tell us the requirement and we'll answer in writing.

Who is the oversight manager?

Whoever you nominate: a training lead, a line manager, a compliance officer. They get access to the dashboard for your learners.

Do you run in-person courses for teams?

We run in-person GVC courses too, and dates are coming soon. If you'd rather your people trained together in a room, tell us on the form.

We already hold an operations manual and a CAA authorisation. Can you help with those?

Yes. We update and manage operations manuals for individual pilots through to corporate fleets, and we help with CAA audits. See ops manual updates and CAA audit guidance.

Are the courses the same as for individuals?

Exactly the same course, exam and certificate, and each of your people gets the same twelve months in the community and the monthly group session with Matt. The difference is the seats, the allocation and the oversight, which are yours.
