Why do I have to disconnect additional screens when taking the exam?

We need you to ensure you only have one monitor connected to your laptop/desktop during the exam, because a second monitor invalidates the examination recording.

The exam is invigilated remotely, which means it is recorded, and the recording has to show that you sat it on your own with nothing else to hand. A second screen cannot be seen by the camera, so the recording cannot demonstrate that.

Disconnect it before you start. It takes a few seconds, and it'll save you having to resit the exam!
